Around 2 PM on Sunday afternoon, April 7th, I felt a sudden urge to witness the total solar eclipse. I hopped in my car and drove towards the path of totality. I settled in Cedar Hill State Park in Cedar Hill, Texas.
The total solar eclipse is an amazing thing to see, and absolutely worth the trip. The capture on my phone is nowhere as wonderful as what we can see directly. The next solar eclipse to cross the United States will occur on August 12, 2045. The path of totality crosses Kansas, with a max coverage of 99.94% in Wichita.
